PEOPLE ARE IN THE COMMENTS CALLING HER A TERF

Why on EARTH are we supposed to be ‘allies’ to a group of people INTENT on dismantling everything we’ve built and derailing important conversations onto themselves?? Lesbian farmers face so much shit from rural and agricultural communities because they defy the Christian-patriarchal pastoral ideal that permeates an enormous portion of US agricultural and rural life. Female farmers are seen as ‘hobbyists,’ ‘gardeners,’ and/or incompetent. Female farmers sued the USDA over sex-based loan discrimination (x). Lesbian farmers are treated worse because they are also subjected to homophobia.

I haven’t read this article yet but I feel this so deeply. 2nd wave/radical feminists used to connect agriculture and feminism and set up farms and communes and societies based off this knowledge. Yellowhammer in Arkansas, Country Women Magazine out of a California group (where my icon image comes from btw), and a group still up in Oregon are all examples of this connection.

Here’s a link to another article about the disappearance of Feminist/Lesbian-Separatist Back-to-the-landers: http://modernfarmer.com/2015/01/women-farming/ for those looking for more reading material.

Nothing makes men more mad when they message me about all the problems they have as a man, thus I must be privileged, and I laugh. They get so mad because they expect women to be empathetic or to debate with them. Nope.

They expect the radfems who claim misandry isnt real to have a reasonable discussion about legitimate issues men face.

It's actually a good way to change minds, but not for those who refuse to listen.

But, yes, if having advantages in society for how you were born makes you privileged, then women have privilege. Lots of it.

I know misandry is real, I practice it everyday.

If you see a female body and think 'this needs to be fixed', that's not a natural thought. There's nothing that needs to be modified about bodies of living beings, especially not to fit some inane standards. If you believe there's something wrong with the way female body looks naturally, then you either are hateful of women, or your mind has been hijacked to believe it's normal to hate women's bodies. That's not normal. If we accepted how every animal in the world looks, if we accepted how half of the human population looks and are fine with it, why is the other half 'needing to be fixed'?

Why can't we look at women's bodies and go 'yeah, they're fine as they are', and move on, like we do with everything else? What gives anyone even the entitlement to be the one allowed to judge women's bodies? To imply something about them isn't 'good enough' is already a disrespect and implication that women don't exist as living, feeling, human beings, but just as something to be judged and put into place by someone else.

btw you’re absolutely deluding yourself if you think men don’t hold those same misogynist degrading opinions about “white women” as they do for all women lmfao

I still think setting a legal minimum of even just 3 floating paid days off per year (in addition to regular holidays) would make a noticeable difference in quality of life for the tens of millions of Americans who currently get zero paid days off.
